hellooooo fall!

Winter, Spring, Summer or Faaaaalll.... 

I love fall. It is my faaaaaaaaavorite season! The past few years, in IL. its pretty much gone from frickin hot summer to super cold winter with no sign of fall but maybe 2 days. So far this fall has been pretty awesome! Its been cold... well, chilly...  The leaves and most everywhere I go right now just look so beautiful and I am really loving the weather! I keep hearing people say they have their heat on already. psh. No Way. It was waaaay too hot and miserable this summer to be putting my heater on already. It's not been THAT cold. The coldest morning I've experienced so far was Thursday- it was colddddddd and damp. I thought about turning my heat on that morning, but I didn't.... I did buy furnace filters though.. Just in case lol.

Any plans for Halloween? Not for me. I think I am going to sit inside and not do ANYTHING! Since I have started School and then work I have 0 free days. The only days I have off work are the days I go to school. Oy. After two years of sitting at home looking for a job and mostly doing nothing- it is nice. I really don't mind going to work- hell its nice to be making money again! woo woo woo. This Tuesday ( 10/16/12 ) is my last food safety class. I can not wait!!!! I hope I pass the test for the certificate but to be honest, at this point I really don't even care! Food is gross. bah. Don't get me wrong I love food, but the things involved in cooking and food safety... icky.. Anyways, Wed. 10/31 my teacher told us that we don't have to come for class so that week I am going to take my days off and veg out. I was supposed to have a Friday off a few weeks ago, and I was going to make pasta sauce with my mom, but I ended up getting called into work so we haven't. I have this coming Friday off so we finally are! I am so excited! Yay!! I will take pictures and stuff!

At my work we use gloves, and it gets really moist in the gloves and my nail polish really only lasts a few days now. Like two before I have to repaint them- and yes I still am painting my nails! I have 2 cute pictures to share and both times after I did them I thought "Oh damn, I should have taken step by step pictures." I really suck sometimes. My camera on my phone lately has been stinky and I don't know why. Hubby started his own blog and is looking at cheap nice cameras to get so we can both be able to take pictures! The one he showed me today was a camera and a video! Neato! Here are two of my cutest nail designs I've had since my last blog post!

 I used Wet n' Wild- Wild Shine "Dreamy Poppy" for the pink base. Wet n' Wild- Fast Dry "Sage in the City" for the green part. Wet n' Wild- Wild Shine "Black Creme" for the seeds and LA colors glitter.

 I used Wet n' Wild Chrome "I got a new com-pewter" for the green Frankenstein skin. Wet n' Wild- Wild Shine "Red Red" for the cuts and Wet n' Wild- Wild Shine "Black Creme" for the black parts. and LA colors white for the eyes.

Did I tell you about the little crochet Mario Mushrooms I made for my friends son for his birthday? Oh.... That's right.... I didn't.... Cuz I really suck.... I did think about it a few times as I was crocheting them! I'll tell you about them now. My friends son's birthday was last month and his theme was Mario. Well, I didn't have a lot of extra money and I was like.... Do they even make stuff for Mario anymore? So Hubby was like you should crochet him something and at first I was hesitant but he looked up for me this pattern. Oh! It was so easy and I was like omg he will love these! I edited the pattern a little bit and I made him two. A red one and a green one! I wish I would have taken a picture of him with them. I wanted to make like 500 more. The pattern is really easy to read and the mushrooms stitch up real quick. I am currently in the process of making some for my hubby!

Howday!

Hi!

Holy cow! Things have been really really busy for me lately. I started school at the end of August, I got a job shortly after that ( yayyyy!!! ) It's so nice to be working again. I am working at the deli at the local grocery store, and although  I don't eat meat, and it is really really hard for to be all around that meat but I really couldn't afford to turn the job down for one, and in the end, it is their choice, body, health and conscience. I can educate but I cannot make the choice or force anyone. But I am hoping that since my school has started, that sometime soon maybe they would let me work in the bakery! THAT would be wicked awesome. Anyways. Besides having to be around meat all day, I actually really like my job. And its only part time sooo its not too bad. I only work so far like 3 days a week, but I am hoping to work more and see if maybe I could get another job somewhere else for the days I don't work and maybe just have off Tues, and Wed since I have school. That would be totally neat!

My Grandma moved to Arizona. I miss her so much. I know it is what she wanted, but I don't know if she was ready for it just yet. It could be just me who isnt ready. Its hard to talk on the phone still, I still cry. I hate crying. I hope to visit soon, or she can visit here soon. That would be nice :D

I made a facebook page. I actually made it a while ago but I keep forgetting to share it. I am not currently sure how to like add it as an icon or something so for now if you are interested in liking my page. Please click here and maybe at like 50 likes I could do a sweet give away or something. I probly will post pictures and stuff on there, funny stuff I find. It would be a lot more active!

I'm currently working on a purse and I haven't had much time to work on it, I am gonna do that I will post pictures here AND on facebook - more as I progress on fb and on here I will post the finished product.

Hi :)

My thoughts and Prayers are with those who are dealing with the Hurricane. May you all be safe and out of harms way! Please help each other! If you see someone or something that needs help, please help them.

Last week I started College. It has been liiiiike oh.. I dunno... we'll say 7 years since I graduated High School, been in any kind of school even! I've wanted to go to school for the past 3 years, I have applied for fafsa, looked into classes, done everything. Except register, and actually go to School.. I am only going on Tues. & Wed. - so part time because I didn't want to overload myself and then make myself not want to go ever again. ( Can I just tell you, that the people who work at the School that I am going to.... Not the brightest crayons in the box... VERY FRUSTRATING! That does not help. >:0 ) I am going for Culinary Management/Patisserie. I am so excited! This is the biggest step towards our goals! Also the scariest! Well except for when we actually move. But I think this might even be more scary.. for me. I've moved before, I've also gone to School before but not School for something that I will be doing and loving for the rest of my life. Winning. Last Wed. was my first day. I cried all day. I was so nervous. When I walked into the College I was like 'Oh yea this is awesome. I am so gonna rock this. I got this!' Not. I walked to the wrong class first, then I walked into another class that I thought was mines, I sat for a few minutes and I thought to myself.. 'These people don't even have the same books I do' So I asked and I was in the wrong class. I did make it to the right class in time. Wasn't late on my first day! That is all that really matters right? Well, also the fact that I didn't have one of my books, I had gone to the School book store 3 times, and like I said... The people who work there. They are 0 help. So I really didn't want to go back and deal with it.. But I didn't have time to run to the Half Price Book Store ( also, haven't been there? GO! ). We didn't need it the first day. Hubby is running to the book store tonite to get the book for me. Tomorrow starts my 2nd class, so I will be at the School from 4pm to 945pm! That's so long. But there's about an hour break between the 2 classes. So, time to do homework and I'll have to remember to bring a book or some crochet to do.

I joined a book club. Well, actually. My online friends and I started a book club. I am pretty excited! I really love to read, and sometimes I need a little kick in the butt to do it, or to broaden my horizons! If you are interested in it, check out the blog. I think we will be doing it blog based with a voting system. If you are interested in joining  I will have to let you know how to get in on that. We just started it 2 days ago! Do you watch Breaking Bad? Oh man. This show is good!! I am catching up on Sundays episode right now as I type this. Holy Cow. I think if you don't watch this show, you really should give it a shot! I really love Bryan Cranston as Walter White. I didn't like the show Malcolm in the Middle, and I really thought that was all he was in until he came to this show. But he has been in A-LOT of stuff. He is in How I Met Your Mother! He wants to build the penis building. Anyways. I like him, and I like Breaking Bad! Have you seen Ugly Betty? I never watched it but someone told me I need to give it a try... I didn't think that I would like it but I kind of loved it. I was really sad when it was over. waa.. I would like it if they would bring it back or at least made a movie or something. They kind of ended it dum.

Life is Short

Life is short. Today I said goodbye to a friend forever.. It was really very hard. One of the hardest things I think that I have ever had to do. In my 26 years on this planet I have only ever been to 4 wakes and 2 funerals. One for someone who overdosed when I was in high school, and at that time it was not a great friend I was more going for moral support and 2 were for my pretty much grandparents. I loved them and they were hard to deal with but they were old and they lived full super happy lives. Today I said goodbye to someone who was only 2 years older than me. He fought cancer for 2 1/2 years. He was a great man. He of all people did not deserve to go this way, and of anyone who I could think of beating cancer, it would have been Matt. I am lucky to be able to know such a wonderful man. RIP Matt! Love you gonna miss you ! Cancer sucks.

Shark Week!

Hi there! Do you know what this week is?  SHARK WEEK! OMFG I LOVE SHARK WEEK! Its almost like a Holiday in this house. I have been so excited about it, I even painted my nails for Shark Week! AND I took lots of pictures so that I could share the tutorial with you all! yayyy!

First, I wanted to tell you about a pretty neat little 'event' of sorts from Zoya Nail Polish. If you click on this link and sign up ( for free ) it will give you a voucher for a free Zoya Polish, and if you add 2 more polishes the shipping is free. The shipping regularly is like 7$, So its like the cost of the nail polish to ship, but if you have the money to buy the other 2 I think its totally a deal. Hubby said I might be able to buy some this weekend. But I think I saw on the webite it was good until April or something. I think I will have to go look again because I really love these polishes and their practices ! I got a few Zoya colors from the Copious thing. At least one of them should be coming today. I walked to the mail box in the rain with my dog I was so excited, only to see the mail hasn't ran yet. WHY OH WHY MAIL DO YOU WAIT SO LONG TO COME TO ME! Everyone I know gets their mail at like 11 in the morning. I don't get mines till like 5- hubby laughed when I texted him to tell him, He said 'lol babe the mail doesn't come till like 430-5 now' WHAT?!! Ridiculous.






Ok.. So, onto the tutorial. Are you as excited as I am ?

First choose your colors- I chose Essie-Beach bum blu for the nice blue to be the ocean water, Sinful Colors-slate ( This would have been better mixed maybe with a little bit of silver or a little less dark grey ) for the shark body and fins, LA Colors-white for the teeths and the eyeballs. ( LA Colors is also a cruelty free brand and I got this at the Dollar Tree by my house! ), Zoya- Gia for the red, bloood part, and OPI- gone gonzo for the glitter over the blue!  You will also need some blue painters tape and a pen  (you can also use a nail polish pen thingie but I could only find one at Walgreen and it was 9$. No thanks), to draw the shark and fin, and scissors to cut the drawings- remember to have the tape larger than your nail for easy peel off.




First, paint your nails your blue base color. Let it dry well.

Then you will draw on your painters tape. ( I am not a great drawer so my shark is kind of demented, but I think for free hand its pretty good!! ) I only did my left hand since it would be way too hard to do both hands.

Now take the grey color and paint, let dry pretty good and remove the tape.

 I painted my middle finger nail with splotches of red to look like blood! Making sure that my grey color is dry, I put some white dots on the grey open mouth part to look like teeth. My pointer finger is supposed to be a shark comming up from water with its mouth open but it didn't work out as well as I would have liked.

 Let everything dry really well, take the blue glitter and paint over the blue parts you want to sparkle like water! Let dry, and you are so done. And you have a wicked awesome Shark Week Manicure!

Happy August!

So last week I went to take the dog outside and there was a package on my door stop, ooh I wasn't expecting anything. Guess what it was? It was the correct colors of the red heart yarns for my blanket !! Yay I am so happy! So once it cools down I can finally finish that baby! It is going to be so gorgeous! I am currently working on making myself a bag/purse. I cant wait for it to be done! I probly will be finishing it up soon. Its an easy project. I need a easy project, I have  been trying to work on some mittens and I can not seem to get the pattern! I will get it though, I have a super awesome idea in my head and if I could get it right, Christmas presents this year are going to be aweeeesomeeee!

Yesterday on facebook I saw that there is a Saved by the bell edition wet n wild nail polish. Holy cow. I NEED THEM! I used to love watching Saved By The Bell!! The colors are so very 90's and bright and gorgeous. Love them.

Fall weather has been here lately. Like mid 70's and really nice. I could get use to this! I hope it stays. We got a pretty great rain yesterday! I had to spend the whole morning and after noon down at the college ( oh hey did I tell you that I am now registered for classes to being being a pastry chef! sooo excited! ) By the time I got home I was exhausted, I figured by the time I got home that the rain would be done, but it rained and it even thundered while I took a 5 hour nap. I usually really hate taking naps, they make me super cranky and give me a headache but this one I took yesterday was truely amazing.

I want to share with you a tutorial of sorts. I painted my nails and I did kind of a jawbreaker/marbley effect and I really thought it was super cool. Its not super fully equipped with tons of pictures but I will explain the best I can! ok? Sounds good. Here it goes. :D Please forgive me if its messy, it is my first tutorial of any kind.

First I chose my colors, I chose kinda funky bright colors, but you can choose whatever colors you think would look nice. I used the small tiny little brissle brush. I took the white and used it for my base coat. Let it dry good Then take the color you want drop a drop or 2 on some paper, put the small paint brush on it and plop it around on your nails, no specific pattern or way- whichever your heart desires! Wipe your brush and let this color dry, when its dry repeat with the other colors. When your done, of course add glitter. bahahaha >:D

When life gives you lemons... punch life in the dick!

Hi!

First I wanted to share with you my new favorite quote ever in life. Someone on my facebook came up with it and it cracked me up!

I wanted to write a quick update, I'm bored and I should probly clean or something instead of sit on the computer but when I'm bored, cleaning is really the last thing in life that I want to do. But it would be more fun that sitting here refreshing facebook right? lol.

Have you tried the the Sam Adams- Porch Rocker? It's new I guess. Might be a limited edition, I know they have all sorts of season-ey flavors of beer.... I'm not huge on thick beer but hubby loves Sam Adams, we stopped at the liquor store last weekend because he really really wanted to try this beer ( I had no idea what he was talking about I was just agreeing ) oh man. I am so glad HE knew about it because seriously, some of the most awesome beer I have ever had! Its beer mixed with lemonade, it's not very thick and its really easy to drink. I could probly drink a few beer of it! Usually one is all I can have cuz it just kind of grosses me out- the thickness. yumm I think I might just go drink the last one right now. bahaha.

I had to lighten the picture it was horribly dark! 

 I've been really super obsessed with nail polish lately. I know I know, I already told ya'll but I've just been painting my nails a lot. Hubby picked out my last nails and the ones I just did today. He even picked out the colors today. He says to me, its summer you should paint your nails each a different funky color and I was like yea babe that's a great idea I'll go look.. then I forgot and about 20 minutes later he comes to me with 6 colors and says he couldn't pick between the greens, and he even brought a glitter and was like I didn't know if you wanted glitter and I was like WELL BABE THEY WOULDN'T BE MY NAILS IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE GLITTER ON THEM! ( not screaming just in a laughing tone ). I found out some really super awesome news too. The Kleancolor nail polish brand that I said i seriously loved and was THE BEST GLITTER NAIL POLISH I EVER USED?!?! Well, They don't test on animals!! Winning. I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT BECAUSE I SERIOUSLY WANT LIKE EVERY SINGLE COLOR, NOT EVEN JUST THE GLITTER! lolol sorry for the caps, you just really need to know how much I love this glitter!

Nails. Nails. Nails.

Hi!
Wow. This is a surprise huh?! Well It wont be a long post really. I have been spending the day reading and trying to teach myself to really understand knitting. Not doing so well. Damn this is frustrating.

Anyway. I digress

I wanted to tell you about this website Copious.com. I learned about this website from a nail blogger that I follow on Facebook and I had to check it out. 1cent nail polish. uhm. heck yes. So I took advantage of her 10$ credit site HERE. I want you to go to that and take advantage of the credit. Seriously. Its legit. This is not a scam or a sponsored post at all. Its from one sista to another. Go. For real. I got 4 nail polishes for seriously 1 cent each 4 cents total ( I made Hubby use his name too :D ) and a Hello Kitty pin thingie just to use the rest of my credit. Brand new polish. But go soon cuz I really have NO idea when the deal ends.

The other day I went out with my friends Jessi and we went shopping and sitting in my driveway talking and catching up we ended up talking about nail polish, and how she too just recently got into nail polish and she had a really really pretty color teal/turquoise on her nails and she shows them to me and she goes - "Is this a whore color?" and I was like "no not at all, I really like it,  I was gonna say its only a whore color if you do bright red with glitter on top but I take that back because that's what I was planning on doing later tonight." After a few lol's I came inside took my old nail polish off and painted my nails with the new colors I had got. Guys. I think I seriously found my new love and new favorite nail polish. I used to love Essie brand so much, and I still do. But I really love this brand. It went on so nice and so smooth, and so far very minimal chipping, minus wear and tear cuz I been really hard on my hands and stuff lately. Have you ever heard of the brand Zoya? I am new to this brand but I've learned they are a vegan brand and also don't test on animals... Winning! They are a little cheaper than Essie that I've seen which is really nice. Only, I only know of on-line that sells it. So, I wont be able to have as many colors. But I had to share my news!! I am seriously so excited, and I cannot wait to be able to own more colors!

Hi! 
 

I was my birthday 10 days ago!! I am now 26! Woo Hoo! We went and saw TED for my birthday, it was really funny. I am glad that we went to see it. Today is mine and my Hubby’s 7 year Wedding Anniversary. Its been a wild ride, but I’m glad I got on. He had originally taken today off so we could spend the day together but he got a promotion at work so he had to work today. That’s okay. We are gonna do something nice this weekend. 

Anyways, I guess it’s safe to say that until my life gets much more interesting I will update this baby about once a month or so.

I am really trying to make my life more interesting. I have been painting my nails much more, which for some might not be much but for me it's something! I love nail polish and for a little bit I didn't ever paint my nails. When I was a little girl I used to LOVE nail polish. I mean I had like every color ever all kinda. Like a whole laundry basket full. Well, we went on vacation and I decided to bring some even though my parents told me NO... Well. I should have listened cuz they all broke. And I was devastated, I stopped painting my nails after that. I was heart broken. Its so silly now that I think about it. Anyways. I have been working on nail polishes and designs on my nails. Nothing special. So far I've done polka dots and then alternating colors with glitter. The polka dot ones I posted onto my facebook but I smashed the pointer finger so it look pooey.  I been trying more crochet projects, reading A LOT  more books, and I have signed up for college classes. I am actually really super excited to start this chapter in my life! 

I made my mom a nice shawl with the glitter yarn that I've had lying around! It was really pretty and a lot of fun to make. Actually pretty simple to make also. I was thinking about making some to sell on Etsy for some extra money. We sure could use it. If I do end up doing that I will totally put the link up here. 

 You cant really see the glitter in the yarn in the picture, but it is there!


 I read a book recently called A Piece Of Cake. It was a REALLY good book, It made me think about maybe thinking sometime down the road when we are ready to have children , maybe we could foster or adopt. That would be really neat, I mentioned it to him, if it comes that we can’t have babies of our own. We have so much love to give, there’s no reason if we can’t have one of our own, we couldn’t love anyone else’s, someone that needs someone…  I just can’t believe how cruel some people can really be. Its messed up. It was a good book though, I recommend reading it. It’s pretty long but its good. I am starting Harry Potter now, I have been looking everywhere for a used copy but I can’t seem to find one ANYWHERE. REALLY! It’s crazy. I found a copy of the 2^nd book at the Goodwill, so at least when I finish the first book I can go to the 2^nd one :D. My friend says I have to read the entire series. Since people seem to love the books and the movies so much It will be good I think. I am trying to read all the books that I have in my house so I can start working on my book shelf! It’s like the only thing I want for my home. EVENTUALLY I will have hubby build me one like he promised.

Life.

Hey there!!

I've been thinking about you.

I wanted to write this a few days ago but things have been rough for me. I have been kind of in a dark place, I’m trying to get out tho! Hopefully soon things will get back to normal. I have been kind of angry with life and angry with people and even my friend noticed yesterday and she said things must be bad because usually I’m a really calm/chill/nice person and lately I’ve been kicking ass and taking names. I’m just so sick of stupid jerk people. If you have to be a jerk, just keep your mouth shut and move on. Seriously. What is the point of being mean and ruining someone else’s day? Its rude and it just spreads bad & negativety. It’s just as easy to be nice, to help people out- to take 5 seconds out of your super busy day to stop and smell the flowers.... to smile at someone… I feel really bad for humanity.  In the past 3 days I have gotten into it with someone because they are simply rude and ignorant. And mostly it has been online… A page on facebook that I am a fan of recently posted a picture with words and it said “ On the internet you can be anything you want, it’s strange that so many people choose to be stupid. “ I feel like since its been warm, or maybe since school is out – peoples brains have melted and no one seems to see fit to use them. Using your brain is one of the only things left that is 100% free, why do so few people use it. JEEZE

I finally finished LOST. I was so sad when it ended.  Hubby was like what are you going to watch now I was like .. ohh I think I’ll rewatch LOST again. And he got straight faced and was like really? I was like no babe, I love LOST but I don’t think I could watch the entire show back to back. That’s a little much. So I have been reading.

Happy Fathers Day to all the awesome Fathers out there. My Dad had yesterday off so we went over there to spend some time, we had Chinese take-out for dinner ( the Chinese place by their house does not have nearly as good tofu lo-mein as the Panda by my house. Just sayin’ ). We talked, I stopped at the dollar store on the way there and got a Chinese takeout gift bag thingie and I gave him one of the Jameson Whiskey marmalade that I made. I also gave one to my uncle. 

This was the FIRST thing I have EVER canned, omg I had a blast. It was sooo much fun! I can’t wait to can more. I have to boil the 2^nd batch I had made, it didn’t set correctly. I guess I didn’t add enough sugar. They will make great gifts! The first batch I made, I had almost forgot to get the brine set up and I was heading to bed and hubby goes- did you make your jelly stuff and I was like oh wow I almost forgot 2 days in a row! That’s bad. So it was late, I was tired, I didn’t think it was going to take as long as it did to get everything set up so I only did half a batch that night and it worked perfectly. I was so excited. So I decided I would use up the rest of the fruit that I had so it didn’t go to waste. I don’t have an oven right now so I can’t really bake anything, and last paycheck hubby bought me a suet and a suet holder to feed the birds, because I felt bad that I couldn’t keep making the bird seed orange holders and I felt bad that they were probly getting hungry.. They are fun and cute to make, but if I cant do anything with the rest of the orange, it’s kind of impractical.. I hate to be wasteful! So. I made my mom open one of the first jars that I had made the first night ( it made 4 ) to taste test it to make sure it tasted ok – since the 2^nd batch made like 10 jars! She said it was amazing. She also gave my brother a jar, I’ll let you know how he felt about it! 

I haven’t made my orange vinegar cleaner mix yet. I have been real lazy and just haven’t felt like dealing with all that yet. But I will. And I will let you know how I like it. I’m sure I will absolutely love it because so far I have loved everything that I have made homemade. My laundry detergent is awesome. I absolutely love it. I want to try the liquid next I think. There’s nothing wrong with the powder, I just think that I prefer to have liquid. I’ll just have to suck it up and spare some of my very little spare space. < I cannot wait to own a home someday >. I also need to find a new brand of soap to use. I recently learned that Ivory soap is owned by P&G and I think they are one of the worst and most terrible companies in the world. Their animal testing practices and procedures are unnecessary and absolutely CRUEL! I recently learned A LOT  of companies are owned by them, if you can at all substitute another company for one that is owned by them, I assure you the many animals that they cruelly test on would be very grateful! There is a great list of product companies who DON’T test on animals for the same price as one that do. And you can find that here Animal testing is something near and dear to my heart, we saved my dog from being tested on. She is the most wonderful and loving and special ( and sometimes a pain in the butt ) dog and I couldn’t imagine anything like that happening to her. And I get super sad when I think about it. In this day and age, it’s a completely unnecessary for animal testing. So let’s get rid of it! Frankly, you have to wonder if there IS a need, what are they putting in your products?

I have been talking to a friend about canning, how much I loved it. I am like seriously addicted and I want to learn to can EVERYTHING! I am so for getting back to my roots and making shit from scratch and saving and canning. When I made the marmalade I had gone to my Moms house because her kitchen is huge and she has a dishwasher and well.. Her stove works. She had a lot of fun watching me, we talking she stirred we laughed we boned. It was great. I get to see my mom and dad often and I am thankful for that, but I haven’t gotten to bond with my mom like I did when I was canning. I loved it. I wouldn’t trade that for the world. So I searched pinterest yesterday for ‘canning’ the first picture I clicked on brought me to an awesome blog for canning and I have been browsing it since yesterday afternoon. So many ideas!!! Oh! I also got a brand new noodle maker thing at the Goodwill for 5$! I am so excited. I was going to buy one for my kitchen aid mixer but I was like psh who needs that when I have this and it does ALL the work for me! And it only costed me 5$! It also came with like a million and a half noodle attachments so, I’m going to pack that baby up, bring it over to my moms and we are going to have a great time making some noodles. Ill post pictures of how that goes. I am pretty excited. I wish I had one of those air sucker saver machine things.. I also got a sweet Dinosaur cake pan for 50 cents brand new. I was like who could pass this up? So I got it and I have made 2 cakes with it so far. Both vegan chocolate cakes and they were absolutely amazing! I made the 2^nd one for hubby for his potluck they were having at his work. I made it with avocado frosting, it was the only vegan frosting recipe I could find without using margarine.. He said it was gobbled up and people were raving about it saying it was the best cake they have had. Now that’s what I love to hear!! And I bet no one even realized that it was a 100% vegan cake! My mom didn’t believe me until she saw me make it. Oh and it’s so easy to make that’s what is even better, I didn’t even have to get my mixer I mixed it all by hand. Love easy baking! 

Ohh hah!! Guess what. I made my own nail polish. It was really easy and a lot of fun. I made my mom a really light pink with glitter ( which I forgot to get a picture of ) and I made me a dark grey purple. I wanted to have a purple but it was hard to get the shade I was looking for then I ended up adding to much and it was getting too thick so I just stuck with the color I had. It wasn’t bad. It was purple just like a greyish tint. It was pretty and I added some wet n wild glitter. I love wet n wild! They are cheap and they don’t test on animals! I just bought a really pretty yellow nail polish from wet n wild too – it was 1.99 but I had a .99 coupon so I got it for .99 cent. Woo hoo!

  

And I decided to make my nails little bumble bees! Which I uploaded on facebook and stupid people had to make stupid remarks about them. They are kind of retarded looking bumble bees, but I thought they were super cute still!

Oh Hey!

Heyyy! Ohhhh my. Hi.

I know I am a terrible blogger....

I don’t try to be. But I’m boring kinda.

Anyways. 

I’m just about finished with LOST. I am on season 6 like episode 11 or 12. Woo hoo! I’m watching it now actually as I type this :D. 

Last week I was surfing pinterest. I am such a pinterest addict! Hubby laughs at me but if you know what pinterest is I think you understand. Lol :D. Well I found this pin quote “ If it’s important to you, You’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.”   

 

Wow.. That like really bopped me on the head. Like HELLOOOOOO! Life hands me lemons a lot  and usually… usually I can take it and just be oh whatever things happen. But I’m done thinking like that. I am so done and over with ‘things happening’ And that quote is what did it for me. I love it…  Then I had an idea for a ‘visionboard’. I looked up on google about them and I thought, oh hey I could do that! I’ve heard about them in books and TV and I have heard mostly that they work. Not really heard that they haven't worked so..  What’s the harm in trying. I thought when I brought it up to hubby he might laugh and he wouldn’t really want to do it. I was pleasantly surprised when he was as excited as I am and was willing to do it with me. Yay. He has tomorrow off so I figure we will do it tomorrow, I bought all the things I will need for it, yesterday! Woo woo woo! 

 I was online and talking with a friend and she was telling me she was making something she posted similar to something I had posted on pinterest. An all natural vinegar & Orange peel cleaner, but she added limes cuz she had some lying around that were on the verge of death. It inspired me to make mines.. Then while I was making it, I figured. I might as well make the bird feeders while I’m in here! I had made some more orange glaze muffins and I saved the peels because I wanted to make some more orange peel birdfeeders and also try the vinegar orange peel cleaner.  I decided to put like 4 peels – give or take, I forgot to count, when I opened it today to take pictures it still smelled kinda vinegar-ey so I think that next time I try I will put some more orange peels, maybe try a lemon or lime also. 

      

Did I tell you about the orange peel bird feeders that I made? Well they are really super simple and cute and fun to make! I am afraid of birds, but I dun want the birdies to go hungry.. For a few times, every time I looked out the window to see if I could see an outside cat eating, I saw birdies eating the cat food and then shortly after that a friend posted the link to the bird seed feeders and I was like omg I have oranges I need to use up before they go bad! Woo hoo! I think actually It was around the time that I made the first set of orange muffins because I made those muffins to use up the oranges.  I don’t have a picture of this last time that I made them, I forgot to one before I put them out in the trees, but I do have one of the first time that I made them! I made 7 this time and I gave 2 to my mom and put the rest around my park. While I was out putting them up, some guy was at my neighbor’s house getting out of his car he goes of hey is that an ornament and I was like no I just made them they are bird feeders and I gave him one to give to his daughter to put into the trees by her house. I just love spreading animal love. 

 

I also made some all natural laundry detergent! It was sooo easy! I had been wanting to try it but I didn’t know if I really wanted to spend the time to try it. The liquid one makes A LOT of detergent and I really don’t have the space to save it right now so I decided to try the powder kind. I made it last night.. Wow it was so easy and so not even time consuming at all like I thought it would be! Just grate the bar and add the borax and washing soda! I also added a little bit of baking soda because I read online in the comments to use vinegar as laundry softner and I figured- when you add vinegar and bakind soda it fizzes so it might help.. Although, I read all 68 comments on this laundry soap and there was only ONE bad review and it wasn’t even bad, someone had an allergic reaction. But it was probly to the soap they used to grate rather than the borax or soda, since they are all natural products..  You could also add natural oil essence if you wanted a scent but I don’t worry about scent, because we were already using free and clear soap. I also read in the comments, that you could use the scented Mrs. Meyers or whatever brand like that. I can’t think the name of it.

Technology Stinks

Hey!
I don't know if I have any readers or if anyone noticed I wasn't writing. First I got really super duper busy with a crochet project. I couldn't put it down. I haven't finished it because my computer died!. I have been having such terrible luck with this dumb thing I can't wait to get a new one! It's back for now and I just have to finish. I wish we had a printer because their is so many things that I want to print! Its killing me! So while my computer was broken I have been working on a pattern of my own for some dish cloths and I FINALLY finished all the Hunger Games books. Holy Cow. What a great series. I'm sad that its over. waa. I also finally saw the movie. It was very long but I liked it! I'm stoked now for the other movies. woo! I also re-started watching LOST.  Do you know how. much. I. LOVE. LOST?! I'm so excited to be watch it again. And I still want the box set so bad. If you haven't seen it. I really recommend that you watch it. It really is a fantastic show. Probably my most favorite I've seen! Its on netflix, If you have it! If you didn't know- Desperate Housewives is also over. It ended this past Sunday. I love the way they ended it. It was very classy! I said on facebook- they ended it with as much class as Wisteria Lane. I laughed, I cried. It was so great. Its also on netflix! I was doing dishes the other day thinking of all the box sets I want! I don't watch much TV now,  but their used to be some awesome shows back in the day. When I have kids, I want them to be able to see all the awesome shows that I did! Anyways, I've decided to put my cats on a diet. Its really hard. Jello- shes my fattest cat and all she does is eat. And they act like I'm starving them since I'm giving them only the recommended amount of food. Every time I go into the kitchen they trip me and whine like feeeeeeeed meeeee.. Seriously they are not starving! I have been trying to play more with Jello but shes so lazy she doesn't want to. Fatso lol. But I love them so much, its why I'm doing it. They will thank me in some years :). Oh. So, I am pretty sure that I wrote on here about my Red Heart Yarn mishap? The yarns I started with were so wonderful, the ones I bought stunk. All the colors! So I wrote to them and then they said that they needed more information - OK so this took like 12 days to get back to me and they said they would be sending me more information which took at least another 3 weeks. I had to send them samples of the crappy yarn and the outside wrapper with the color, sku and numbers. I just finally got the replacement yarn last Tuesday I think, and they didn't even sent me the right colors. They sent me the completely wrong colors. I am so very upset. This blanket that I am working on is supposed to be a gift for someone and I have been waiting now for like 2 months for this yarn. I have to call and figure out now what I am supposed to do. Because I am surely not going to buy more yarn from this company. grrrr.  In our bedroom we moved our bed, I must say I really love where we moved it to! I sleep really really good now! I can't wait till we can get a new bed! On Ellen the other day she gave away sleep number beds to all the pregnant women in her show. I thought that was really neat. It was an entire room of pregnant people- which I can't even imagine how that would be. That's ALOT of pregnant hormones. I think you could get pregnant just breathing the air or being in that room for longer than 5 minutes lolol. So, all of my potted plants have died. I got a free sample of the miracle expand a grow soil and I decided to plant some cat grass seeds and they actually grew! Very well!! And my cats ate it all up. nom nom. Jello loved it, my baby girl didn't. I had to stop Jello from trying to eat it all so the other cats could enjoy some too. HAHA! I also gave some to my dog Fiona and she liked it. Happy Easter!

Hello there :)
Sorry that I haven't been updating regularly... How have yall been? Thanks for coming back to read. This past week has been a pretty cool week...  I got a Essie nail polish in the mail - for FREE! I won it in a sweepstakes for Essie nail polish and Toms shoes for A Day Without Shoes on April 10th! I am so excited to use it, I haven't yet I figured I would wait until like Sunday or Monday.



 I made some orange muffins and some vanilla scones last week. They were soooooooooooo delicious! YUM! I really cant wait to make them again. NOM NOM NOM! The scones were good too. I accidently doubled the recipe- well I doubled the butter thinking 2 sticks was 1/2 cup and I ended up a mess and I was like this does not look right wtf did I do wrong? So I look at the butter stick and 8TBS is 1/2 cup. So remember that next time ;)~. Anyways. The scones were pretty good too but even doubling the recipe I didn't have as many as I thought I would. So I guess its a good thing that I accidentally doubled it! I went to the dollar store and got some cute Easter baggies and divided up muffins & scones and handed them out to my neighbors ( since hubby was making alot of noise working on the car ) and my parents and Grandma. They all loved them. I so love baking if for anything in the world for people to have super tastey delightful treat to enjoy.

I had to take a break from my blanket that I have been working on until I get my replacements from Red Heart.  This yarn I bought is seriously BAD! So hopefully the replacements will be better. I made some peeps. oh ma gah they are sooo cute ! The first one I made I put a squeeker in for my dog Fiona. She loved it!!

I really hate having to think of title names.

Hey there!
hows everyone? Did anyone see Hunger Games? I haven't seen it yet. We've gone to see it twice and both times ended up doing something else. But things have been pretty busy this weekend and this week so far. Tomorrow is Hubby's day off so were turning our phones off and sleeping in! He bought me the 2nd book in the Hunger Games series and I'm so excited to start reading it, but I wont just yet. I have some things I want to work on a little bit before I start it. I want to enjoy it. I was a little upset tho cuz they don't have the 2nd or 3rd in paper back that I seen. I went to 2 different stores and both only had the first book in paper back and 2&3 in hardcover.. So now I'm going to have to re-buy the first one in hardcover. That's okay... Anyways today I helped my friend pack and move her boxes into her storage unit. We started at like 830am and we got done about 4pm I AM POOPED. But we did awesome and we ended up actually donating alot of stuff to the Goodwill so that is always awesome! I love the Goodwill. I love to shop and to donate. holla. Anyways. thats all just wanted to post a qucik update . hope all is well !

Hey there.
I think this is my 4th post. My picture of my cat Sweet Boy I don't know if it counts as a post... Well I guess so. But I'll leave this number 4.. How are you guys? Hows the weekend going? Today doesn't feel like Saturday at all. In fact it feels like a Tuesday or a Wednesday... The weather here has FINALLY cooled down. For like 3 weeks it was like 75 and soo humid. yuck. Yesterday we got some rain and I decided it would be a good day to switch some of my seeldlings into some big pots. So far only radish's I have to get some more soil for the other ones. Hopefully they can last till Wed. when I get paid. I'm really so excited they seem to be working so far! Last year they didn't which really stunk but this time I made sure that I planted them all right and in time! So wish me luck! Im gonna try my hand at canning this summer also. Hubby bought a pressure cooker from the goodwill for like 14$ so I'm gonna use it! As long as everything goes as planned lol. Yesterday also since it was nice and finally cool I decided to work some more on my afghan. I'm gonna post a picture to show how far along I am so far. I'm so in love with it. I have worked sooo hard on this thing. I don't think that I have ever worked so hard on anything that I've made. I think i started and re-started this blanket like 7 times. I was so close to giving up. But now it's so pretty and I cant wait for my friend to get it! What do you think?

how are you doing? I just finished reading the first Hunger Games book - my Husband bought it for me for Christmas and I've been meaning to get into it but I was afraid it was going to be like the Twilight series or something. Ive tried to read the first book in that series and I don't dig it. I cannot get into it. I don't think Vampires are my thing. I really don't like anything with them. My best friend always tells me I neeeeed to get into the show Vampire Diaries or True Blood - that's it. We tried. I dunno. Its not me. I like ghosts and goblins and horror movies but not really Vampires. Anyways... I was talking with a friend online and we were talking about books. I love books. I love to read! I'm really not picky when it comes to reading. But I dont read nearly as much as I should read. Its sad. I used to read like at least 2 books a week. Not maybe I read like 4 books a year. Boo.. So I decided I was going to start reading more. So I started with this book- The Hunger Games because the movie is coming out and my husband wants to go see it when hes not working. He works at the theater and already for tomorrow night - they have completely sold out 7 theaters with this movie. Wow.. So its got to be good right... I started reading it not last night but the night before. At about midnight. I couldn't put it down. It was so demented and incredible. I finished it today and I'm really glad I read it. I really can't wait to see the movie now! There's a few other movies I actually want to see too. Maybe we will make a day of it sometime! Oh. Today also I wrote a letter to Fresh Step cat litter. I recently bought a bag of the Natural Cat litter from Target. HOLY CRAP! That stuff is the worst cat litter I have ever used. I think my cats might have been better off using paper! So hopefully I will hear a goood response on that. Im kind of hungry. Im gonna go find something to much. Enjoy your night! Thanks for reading!

Hi there .
Today was a nice day. Warm. It has been very warm this month. It's not right. This whole winter just is not right. I really am hoping the summer is only as warm as it is now and not much hotter, my poor dog and cats. I can handle the hot pretty okay, when my animals start panting and I have to shower them in ice cubes. Its spooky!  I cant believe this month is already almost over. I was talking with my husband telling him something, and he asks the day hes like 'no way its not the 19th' I was like yea babe it is! Im glad you know. This month has been totally a suck for the most part.. big letdown. Ive been in a stinky mood lately and I wanted to buy a nail polish but after buying animal stuff and necessities I didn't have enough money to really spend 8$ on a nail polish. I couldn't do it.. But its so nice and sometimes I deserve a treat- I tried to talk myself into it. I.just.could.not.do.it. .. First let me tell you a story about this nail polish. My brothers girlfriend bought me 2 colors of essie nail polish for Christmas. I had never used it before cuz i said 8$ for nail polish, obviously you are on crack... well.. Maybe they are but let me tell you. It's some good crack. I used this nail polish and I am hooked. I don't want to spend the money on any other kind of nail polish, I don't really want to use any other stuff!  It lasts so long and it's so smooth and silky. Nail polish usually only lasts like 2 days if I'm lucky. So anyways, my husband come's home from work the other day and he sets down te most pretty color blue down for me. I said holy cow babe why and he says cuz your mood kinda stinks lately you need something to cheer you up. So I painted my nails today and this blue is soo pretty ! He picked a good one! Ill show you a picture. Sorry it's so friggin bright! My camera sucks ass! I really think my cell phone camera take better pictures than that thing, it just doesnt have a flash. See that colorful thing behind my nails? Thats an afghan that I am working on for my best friend. I love it. Ill share pictures later! Its gorgeous though. the most beautiful thing that I have ever made!
